Rolling Thunder Figurine We expect this Pony to become available again in November 2010. If you would like us to notify you as soon as it is in stock please click the "Email me when available" link above. Rolling Thunder hearkens back to a time of big skies and fierce storms of thundering herds of bison large enough to shake the earth beyond the horizon and of Plains Indians and their spirited sure footed and courageous horses trained to carry bow bearing braves through the stampeding confusion of a bison hunt. Only an artist who has called Oklahoma home her entire life and who has seen with her own eyes the way darkening skies can be splintered with lightning bolts that seem to outline a rumbling "sky herd" of buffalo could have created this masterful homage to the "buffalo ponies." This small town Oklahoma artist is a big time talent with a range of subject matter that is truly all American. Title: Rolling Thunder Artist: Aloma Wolfington Medium: Resin Measures: 7 frac14"

I will be adding the painted ponies to my Native American decor...Navajo rugs, sand paintings, kachinas, fetishes, dream catchers, and pottery. I'm entranced by the spirit and beauty of all these Native American designs. A trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico transformed me and forever captured my heart.

As soon as this pony was available I knew I had to add him to my collection. The scene is powerful with the bison and lightning. The additional detail on the bottom piece also adds to the value and overall feel of the piece. A great pony to have!
