Five Card Stud Figurine Just Retired Five Card Stud Figurine was retired on 1 2 2008. Artistic inspiration comes in many forms. Drawing on her experience as a secondary art teacher Carlsbad artist Gerri Mattson gave herself an assignment. She made a list of words that related to horses and then began to sketch out corresponding ideas. This pony was the one that started my collection. My parents would play Pinochle and eventually I learned. We would also play poker, 500 bid, hearts, and so on. So this guy has special meaning to me. He brings back very fond memories. I just wish he had some detail to his base.
