I've always loved horses and when I found the Trail of Painted Ponies I found my collection. This is my pride and joy. I love the colors and the details that were put into it.
My wife purchased War Pony for me in May, 2010. My living room contains shadow boxes of arrow heads. War Pony fits in nicely. However, I set it up on my mantle the way I would like it displayed, but it keeps moving. Apparently my grandchildren are fascinated with the figurine as well.
This is my first Painted Pony. I had not heard of the Painted Ponies until I looked at the bottom of the base which also sets off this beautiful and realistic-looking horse. I love the detail and colors. Now I am looking for some more that look like horses might have been painted.
This was my third horse that I purchased. I bought it to remind me of my Native American Great Grandmother. I have always loved Horses........Their beauty keeps me in awe. The grace, and the freedom ,they remind me to keep time for myself ,to escape and to dream.
I recommend this Horse to anyone looking for a true masterpiece. From the halter with feathers, to the ceremonial sadle. The only bad thing about this horse is that it should have been larger....I would like to thank the artist for their vision. Thank You, Barbara

I had never even heard of The Trail of Painted Ponies before when I saw War Pony in a Feed Store in July of 2006. Apparently I got my point across that I had to have him because I received him on my birthday in August. I am up to four ponies now, all Native American, and I look at them and enjoy them every single day.
This painted horse will be a well added item to the many Native American items I have collected through the years. Found this and many others in a shop in Eureka Springs, AR. Have plans to purchase 2 others that will make a well rounded addition. Medicine Horse and Sacred Reflection. I have a friend living in Eureka Springs who is full blooded Comanche.
I love War Pony, I saw him a while back and never enquired to the price, just admired from a distance. My father knew I liked him, so we went to get him, but he had been sold, we looked around for ages and none were around. My father found another Appaloosa Pony, and asked me to take a look, it was War, and we got him straight away. He sits at home in my mantle piece, and somtimes infront of the TV for all to see. A beautiful piece that reminds me of my beloved Appaloosa. In veeyr detail it is so precise and intricate, the only thing is that they do can dusty, and because he is white, it shows, otehr than that, he's great. Just keep kittens away as the feathers are tempting, he almost lost his, but now his home is safely on my mantle.
I love this pony. I collect the ponies and have several others. One morning I was drinking coffee out of my painted pony mug and noticed the pony on it. It was the War POny and I knew I had to have it. I love this pony. He is my favorite yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you look at the War Pony, it seems he's tired and just resting without his rider after doing battle. The details that have been added are excellent...I love my pony!
