Experience the Beauty and Wonder of the Trail of Painted Ponies!

The Trail of Painted Ponies began as a public art project that invited the best artists in the country to creatively transform large horse sculptures into original artworks. The astonishing results have been hailed as the arrival of an exciting new American art movement call "Pony Experssionism." We hope you enjoy this high-quality art print collection that captures the power, beauty and magic of the original Trail of Painted Ponies. Consists of 6 11" x 14" Art Prints:

Happy Trails – Nevena Christi
A former fashion designer from New York City, this artist wanted to crate a hose that reflected the style and costumes worn by Gen Autry and Roy Rogers in the '50s. If her Pony looks as if it was crafted out of tooled leather, it's because Nevena now heads the art department at Rocketbuster Boots, where some of the wildest cowboy boots you will ever see are handmade.

Ghost Horse – Bill Miller
A Mohican Indian from northern Wisconsin, Bill is as well known for his music as his art: One of his CDs received a Grammy Award in 2005. Bill dug deep within his music to create this powerful and spiritual memorial to the historic massacre at Wounded Knee by including the words to his award-winning song, "Ghost Dance," on his Painted Pony called "Ghost Horse."

War Pony – Rance Hood
Comanche artist Rance Hood is one of the most recognized names in Southwest art. His paintings are known for their drama and authenticity, and hang in museums and corporate collections. The opportunity to create a traditional war pony, complete with a buffalo pelt saddle, lance-and-shield, and arrows and feathers, became the pinnacle piece in his distinguished career.

Saguaro Stallion – John Geryak
A former creative director with a New York marketing agency, John has enjoyed a successful second career in the arts after moving to Scottsdale, Arizona, where his paintings focus on highly personalized, contemporary interpretations of nature. His extraordinary rendering of the wondrous effects of a moonrise and sunrise on a stand of saguaro cacti captures John's goal as a painter, which is "to offer new dimensions in how we see our one-of-a-kind landscape."

Cow Pony – Lori Musil
With millions of brushstrokes masterfully applied, this western and wildlife artist from Cerrillos, New Mexico has created a fabulous tribute to her past as a working cowgirl. In the front of her mind as she painted was a savvy sorrel cowpony who would hide among a herd of red-and-white Hereford cows at roundup time. Look closely and perhaps you will find the Pony hiding in the herd.

Lightning Bolt Colt – Dyanne Strongbow
In Lakota Sioux mythology the horse is a "Thunder Being" who brings storms to Mother Earth. With storms come rain and change. With this in mind, Choctaw artist Dyanne STrongbow imagined a thunderstorm centered in the horse's hindquarters, breaking up as it moved toward his head into the sunny skies of a new day.
